Trinity Baptist Church, Knoxville, will hold revival services Sept. 20-23 with evangelist Phil Glisson of Memphis.
Lucy Baptist Church, Millington, will celebrate its 150th anniversary Sept. 19-20. A worship service is planned for Saturday, Sept. 19 at 6, followed by a dessert fellowship. Brunch will be served on Sunday, Sept. 20, followed by the worship service. Former staff member Robert Hooker, pastor of Huber Heights Baptist Church, Huber Heights, Ohio, will preach in both services.

Sam Wagner recently resigned as associate pastor of music and worship at Oak Street Baptist Church, Elizabethton.
Stephen Greene has resigned as pastor of Unaka Baptist Church, Elizabethton.
New Harmony Baptist Church, Paris, recently licensed Barry Mathis into the gospel ministry. He will be ordained later this fall.
Longtime Tennessee Baptist music minister James Pulliam, a veteran of World War II, celebrated his 100th birthday on Aug. 8. He served as a bivocational music minister for several Tennessee Baptist churches and was the music minister at First Baptist Church, Bolivar, where he has maintained his membership. His wife, Louise, now deceased, also served on the staff at FBC, Bolivar, in a number of positions for five decades. The couple began the Golden Sounds Adult Choir at FBC, a senior adult choir which grew to more than 100 members. Through the years the couple visited hundreds of people in nursing homes, retirement homes and other places, offering words of hope and encouragement. DEATHS
Longtime Tennessee Baptist pastor Ivan N. Raley died July 20 at the age of 82. Raley served as pastor of several churches across Tennessee, including First Baptist Church, Byrdstown, where he was serving at the time of his death. Raley served as a trustee of Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes and later as vice president of the Middle Tennessee region for TBCH. Raley preached the gospel in four states as well as in Central America, South America, Amsterdam, Mexico and Africa. He is survived by his wife, Carol Raley; six children, 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Pastor Dusty Malugen of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Iron City, recently baptized his daughter, Emory Jordan Malugen, in the Buffalo River at Linden Valley Baptist Conference Center. She was one of 13 young people who were baptized during the youth retreat the church held at Linden Valley. Malugen noted that his daughter’s middle name comes from the Jordan River where Jesus was baptized. During the retreat, there were eight professions of faith and eight rededications.

The Wilson County Baptist Associational Bible Drill was held recently at Fall Creek Baptist Church in Norene.
