Rebecca George, author, speaker and the host of the popular podcast “Radical Radiance,” recently has written Do the Thing: Gospel-Centered Goals, Gumption and Grace for the Go-Getter Girl. Greg Wolfe was elected Jan. 21 as full-time pastor at Providence Baptist Church, Seymour. He and his wife, Brianne, have two children.

Ed North
James Edward “Ed” North, 84, a resident of Somerville, died Jan. 27 in Bartlett. He served for many years as a pastor in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee. While in Tennessee, he served two terms on the board of trustees at Union University and as a trustee (and chairman) of Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes. He was chosen to preach the convention sermon at the Tennessee Baptist Convention in 1991. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sallie North, three children and seven grandchildren.
Pat Mulloy Berthelot of Nashville died Jan. 19 at the age of 83. She was a longtime staff member with the Executive Board of the Tennessee Baptist Convention (now Tennessee Baptist Mission Board). She also was an organist and pianist. She spent more than 50 years playing the organ and piano for churches, weddings, memorial services and numerous events. She was preceded In death by both her first husband, Robert Mulloy, and her second husband, James Berthelot. She is survived by two children, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Retired Tennessee Baptist pastor and director of missions George Hill died Jan. 25 at the age of 87. Among his pastorates was First Baptist Church, Huntingdon. He served as director of missions for Carroll-Benton Baptist Association from 1990-2000. He is survived by his wife, Bettie Hill, two children and two grandchildren.
